At DevShift we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse our website or contact us, how we use it, with whom it is shared, and the rights available to you.
This policy is written in the spirit of the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (5741‑1981, including Amendment 13) and in line with the basic principles of the EU GDPR for visitors from the European Union.
Note: the Hebrew version of this policy is the primary and authoritative version. This English text is provided for your convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the Hebrew version prevails.
1. General — Who We Are
DevShift is an Israel‑based software and product house. We operate the DevShift website and act as the data controller (owner of the database) with respect to information collected through it.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, you can reach us by email at info@devshift.biz or by phone at +972‑52‑357‑8977.
This policy applies to the DevShift marketing website only. Our separate products, such as RoadProtect and Formalingo, may be governed by their own separate terms and privacy policies.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the website and respond to you. In practice this is a very small amount of data:
- Contact form — your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message you choose to write. This information is sent directly to our inbox and is not stored in a separate database.
- Newsletter signup — your email address only, used to send you occasional updates.
- Technical and log data — when you browse, technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view is collected automatically as part of routine server operation. This is used for security, stability and improving the website.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health status, political opinions or biometric data), and we do not ask you to provide such information.
3. How We Use the Information
We use the information only for the following purposes:
- To reply to you and handle your enquiry submitted through the contact form.
- To send you periodic updates if you subscribed to the newsletter — and you may unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, and to analyse in aggregate how it is used.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights where necessary.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Third‑Party Services
To run the website we rely on a few professional providers. Each receives only the information it needs to deliver its service, and is obliged to protect it:
- Resend — an email delivery service used to forward contact‑form messages to us and to manage the newsletter audience.
- Vercel — the hosting and infrastructure service the website runs on. Vercel's servers may be located outside Israel, so technical data may be processed on servers outside Israel.
- UserWay — an optional third‑party accessibility widget that may set functional cookies on your device when it is active.
Because some providers operate outside Israel, there may be transfers of data outside the country. We work to choose providers that maintain accepted standards of security and data protection.
6. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
- Contact‑form messages are kept in our inbox for as long as they are needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a reasonable record of the correspondence.
- The newsletter email address is kept until you choose to unsubscribe.
- Technical and log data is kept for short periods only, for security and operational purposes.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
7. Your Rights
Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, and where relevant also under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to find out whether we hold information about you and to review it.
- Right to rectification — to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Right to erasure — to ask for your information to be deleted, subject to exceptions in law.
- Right to object and opt out — to stop receiving marketing messages at any time, and (for EU visitors) to object to processing or to request portability of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email at info@devshift.biz. We will handle your request within a reasonable time and in line with the legal obligations that apply to us.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, use or disclosure — including encryption of traffic (HTTPS) and the use of well‑known infrastructure providers.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee perfect security. If we become aware of a material security incident, we will act in accordance with the reporting obligations that apply to us under law.
9. Children's Privacy
The website is not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will act to delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy and Contact
We may update this policy from time to time, for example following changes to our services or to legal requirements. The updated version will be published on this page, and the "last updated" date will reflect the date of the change. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
